Description

The artist has worked directly with various specimens he helped collect and prepare for the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum. He is also sculpting reproductions that will be featured in the new Dinosaur Hall at the Museum, currently in development.

The images are of a sub-adult T. Rex sculpted in 1:24 scale, which means that every one-half inch represents about one foot in actual size. All details were referenced from real bones, fossil skin impressions, and modern analogues such as bird features as models for the scales on the legs. Every detail has been hand sculpted, including each individual scale. This is scientifically accurate and anatomically correct in every detail, and consistent with actual fossil records.

The product you are purchasing is a brand new cast resin model kit. The item pictured is the original prototype. Items are available for pre-sale now, and will be shipped in late February, and will include a quality base. These are unpainted high-end model kits for the enthusiast and require assembly.
