Doyle Trankina has been fascinated with dinosaurs for more of his life, and began selling original dinosaur sculptures in gift shops when he was twelve years old. Now, with a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from U.S.C., and ten years experience working with the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, Doyle is emerging as a leading Paleo Artist. Not only is he a gifted sculpture, but he has hands on experience in the field and the Paleo Lab at the Museum, and was part of the team
which discovered "Thomas" the Teenage T-Rex, the most complete fossil remain of a Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found.

Working with the prominent Paleontologist, Louis Chiappe in
the field and at the museum, Doyle not only sculpts but works in the total
preparation of new exhibits. His work
has appeared in National Geographic News, Pour La Science, the Los Angeles
County Natural History Museum, Morrow Bay Museum of Natural History, Jura
Museum of Bavaria and his work in “Dogs: Wolf, Myth, Hero, Friend” toured major Natural History Museums throughout the United States. His expertise and artistry made him the perfect consultant for National Geographic for their upcoming computer animated series on Dinosaurs.
